I have long been a fan of altered dolls and have spent the last few years having a bit of a dabble and procrastinating over altering dolls in the style of the fabulous Clarissa.

I am not a lover of dolls for many rebellious reasons and don't get me started on clowns (shudder).  I found both creepy for a long time and more recently at the doll hospital in Lisbon, Portugal, it was rather freaky to be in a room full of dolls and doll parts, like the day of the dead!


I had no idea when I started this doll what it was going to be, I wanted something funky or grungy and quite how I finished up with a tooth fairy is beyond me, it's just the way the doll evolved - see, they are freaky! It took care of its own destiny! I don't do pink, bling, fluffy, pretty.... so what happened here?!

The cloth body was coloured with fabric inks stuff from Birds in the Barn, Coggeshall, as was the white fabric ribbon.  Do pop in for a chat about the fabric colouring kit and their fabulous funky ribbons.  Lots of great stamps, masks, paints... well lots of fabulous stuff you absolutely NEED in there!
